2018
- Our founding team were awarded an Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation Fund to bring the project from early stage concept to commercialisation. This was based at the University of Galway.
2019
- NUA Surgical was chosen as one of seven start-ups between Ireland and the U.S. to participate in the Blackstone-backed accelerator 'LaunchPad Lift' powered by Techstars.
- Our CEO was named 'Best Senior Entrepreneur' at the EIT Health Alumni Needs-Led Innovation Showcase in Lisbon, Portugal.
2020
- NUA Surgical were one of 16 UK and Ireland Start-ups to be awarded €40,000 through the EIT Health Headstart Programme.
- NUA Surgical were announced as one of 15 winners for the national HIHI Healthcare Innovation Call 2020.
- The start-up was announced as overall winner of the InterTrade Ireland Seedcorn 'Investor Readiness' Competition, securing €100,000 to help accelerate our innovation in women's health.
2021
- NUA Surgical were announced winners of the Healthy Mom and Baby Innovation Competition 2.0, a global competition run by Parkview Health and MATTER (USA).
2022
- NUA won the MedTech category of the 'Global Tech For Good' Competition run by Empact Ventures, Hays and the NIHR.
- The company was announced as winner of the MedTech Category at the National Start-Up Awards, followed by overall Grand-Prix Winner at the famous Dublin City Hall ceremony.
2023
- Named as the only non-US company to participate in Cohort 15 of the prestigious Texas Medical Center HealthTech Accelerator, a 6-month programme based in Houston, Texas.
- Announced as one of eight Irish finalists for the KPMG Global Tech Innovation Awards.
- Double winners at the 2023 National HealthTech Innovation Awards in the category of 'Best Indigenous Start-Up', followed by 'Overall Winner' across all categories.
- Named as 'Emerging MedTech Company of the Year' at the prestigious Irish MedTech Awards in Dec 2023.
2024
- Named as the only non-US company to participate in 51 LABS Accelerator run by MATTER Health - focusing on reducing maternal morbidity and mortality in the US.
